On Friday 28 August at the Capitol Theatre, Sydney media were invited to a ‘Meet and Greet’ with the cast and creative team of WICKED.
The ‘Meet and Greet’ began with an introduction from WICKED Australia’s Co-Producer John Frost. The media were then escorted around the Capitol Theatre and given the opportunity to see the thrillifying WICKED set being installed. Afterwards the talented cast and ensemble of WICKED sang “One Short Day” which drew a massive round of applause.
The Hon. Carmel Tebbutt MP, Acting Premier of NSW presented the 2009 Helpmann Award® for Best Direction of a Musical to Lisa Leguillou, who is in Sydney for the opening of WICKED at the Capitol Theatre.
